Is there a Mac OS X native version?
No, and there will never be. However, I have written a new program,
Birthday Buzzer,
that remindes of birthdays by integrating with Apple's Address Book.
People Lister does run fine in Mac OS X's Classic environment though.
What is PeopleLister?
People Lister is an easy-to-use addressbook that helps you remember everything about the people you know: phone numbers, birthdays, e-mail addresses, or anything else. It reminds you when someone has a birthday coming up, so you'll never forget a birthday again!
What does PeopleLister cost?
People Lister is now freeware (it costs no money). It used to be 'somethingware', meaning you could try a demo but make a donation if you wanted the unrestricted version.
What does PeopleLister need to run?
People Lister runs in Mac OS 7, 8, 9 and X (in Classic). In other words, it should work on any Mac from around 1990 or later. (If you have a very old Mac, make sure it has at least a 68020 CPU; if you are using older than Mac OS 8.1 you'll need Internet Config).
Which languages is PeopleLister available in?
English, French, Swedish, Italian, German, Spanish, and Greek versions are available.
How can I print my list of people?
People Lister does not directly support the printing an entire document. However, you can export the document as a text file, and then open the text file with your word processor and print it from there. This provides a lot of flexibility because you can export any fields you want.
Does PeopleLister suffer from the Year 2000 (Y2K) Problem?
No! Most Mac programs are not affected, and People Lister is no exception. People Lister handles dates from 100 AD to 9999 AD.
Can PeopleLister remind me of other dates?
Not really. People Lister was designed to deal with people (hence the name). You can trick People Lister into doing this by creating a fake person whos birthday is the date of the event you want to remember. It isn't elegant, but it will work.
